Santa Backdrop Inspiration

Spread the love.

Hello Christmas! It’s my favorite time of year. I can’t tell you how sad I am right now being homeless with no home to decorate. We close on our new home December 15th and the Christmas decorations are the first things we will unpack!

But luckily, we get to spend some time right now helping Twin Cities Moms Blog put together their Santa Christmas display. We were so honored that Twin Cities Moms Blog asked if we would create and style the Santa shoot for them this holiday. I couldn’t have been more FREAKING EXCITED!

It will be their first ever Donuts with Santa event on Saturday, December 3. It’s from 9 AM to 12:30 PM and children will have a chance to meet and take photos with Santa, hear a story, do a craft, and enjoy some delicious donuts!

Unfortunately, the event is already sold out. If you would like to be added to the wait list, you can add your name HERE.

I wanted to share our design inspiration for what we’ll be creating and going for. We’ll keep it super simple, yet elegant, and make a classic Christmas statement. There’s nothing I love more than white shiplap and a ton of simple, green, tall Christmas trees with just lights. Oh, and of course snow. We’re going to cover the shiplap board with simple greenery and wreaths, hung with gold ribbon. I’m still on the hunt for the perfect red chairs, to bring in the fun pops of Christmas colors. But overall we hope to create this mood board we created below for Santa and his littles to get their Christmas photo taken in front of.

Can’t wait to show you pictures of the event and what we came up with or hopefully see you there!

Merry Christmas!
