Minnesota Wakesurf Championship

Topher here and this is officially my first blog post! If you don’t know me, I’m Topher and have been part of the construction2style team for almost two years. I’m usually out working alongside Jamie in the field, sometimes running my own jobs, and other times helping Morgan with marketing and other business related things.

I wanted to share with you guys a cool opportunity that we’re a part of this summer. And now that summer is here there’s no place we’d rather be than Lake Minnetonka enjoying the sunshine and some wake surfing.

This year we’ve joined forces with the Minnesota Wakesurf Championship as they enter their 5th year of hosting this amazing event.

I got to know the coordinator of this event, Andy Weigman, who asked us if we would be willing to be one of the sponsors. Of course we jumped right on board after hearing what this weekend was all about. This competition goes beyond winning and losing. It’s about bringing together a community with surfing, food, music, and all for a good cause.

Wake For Warriors connects with injured military veterans through sharing their passion for wake and water sports. They believe that in doing so, they can help to heal the emotional and psychological wounds of military veterans and their families. Proceeds from this event also help the non-profit, Wiggle Your Toes.  They hold adaptive wakesurfing clinics for amputees and veterans, which is led by Wake For Warriors. We are providing the podiums for this event with custom handmade 1st, 2nd, and 3rd stands for the competitors to take their place. This event takes place on July 19-21 at Lake Minnetonka. You can click this link for more details on different events and locations.

Come out and hang with us too! Can’t wait to see you there!
