Where’s your favorite place to find home inspo or to buy things home improvement?
Oh my, this is a tough one! So many places I seek inspiration such as Emily Henderson, Studio Mcgee, Nate Berkus, Jkath, the outdoors, magazine and so much more. Places to buy I’m constantly drawn to and shopping at Cost Plus World Market, West Elm, and Rejuvenation.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
I’m doing it! Running my own business alongside my hubby creating our dreams. Never in a million years would I had guessed I’d be doing this. I had always wanted to be a visual display merchandiser for an interior design company, and I think this gig is a heck of a lot better. Can’t imagine what the next 10 years will bring. I also want to get better at public speaking. That scares the crap out of me and from where I’ve grown in that arena over the last year truly amazes me. I think it’d be cool to do a lot more speaking engagements on what I’m doing here at c2s.
Favorite construction2style project?
Modern Farmhouse Basement. Not sure if it was becuase of what we put together or if it was because they were the best clients to work with which made it a really fun project.
Favorite place in the world?
Roseau, MN. I grew up in this small town and nothing cures the soul like being home.
Which 2 individuals, living or dead, would you like to eat dinner with the most?
- My dad. He passed away a handful of year ago and there’s not a day that passes that I don’t think of him. Some of the best moments have happened in my life since he passed which have also made those moments the saddest. And he makes a pretty mean meal, I miss those homemade breakfasts of his.
- Jamie. It’s rare that just the two of us sit down and have dinner together. A night out on the town with just my hubs is my favorite and can’t happen enough.
What are you watching on Netflix?
What’s your favorite family tradition?
Christmas day. Waking up, opening presents from Santa, then going over to grandma and grandpa and spending the entire day there eating, drinking and playing cards with 50+ of my aunts, uncles, cousins, parents, and siblings. It’s my favorite day ever.
