We’ve had some warm days here in Minnesota, and spring fever has officially kicked in within our household! We can feel the days getting longer with it staying so light outside. So we’ve been trying to make the most out of them, getting up early and being as productive as we can to get this kitchen wrapped up so we can get out and enjoy that sunshine!

We knew we wanted to incorporate an induction cooktop into our new kitchen design for many reasons. One of the many cool things about induction is that when the cooktop is hot, you can literally put your hand right on the surface and won’t feel a thing. It still blows my mind and scares me!

With two little boys who are always by our side wanting to “help” from working to cooking to cleaning, we don’t have to fear now with cooking that they might burn themselves.

That also means then you have to ditch your old pots and pans. Your cookware for induction cooktops have to be made of a magnetic-based material, such as cast iron or magnetic stainless steel. But I’m not complaining because our pots and pans were more than ready to go. So with our new kitchen we’re getting some new Wayfair cookware.

Woks are hands down one of my favorite things to use when cooking. So we got this cast iron grilling wok from Wayfair. It’s white and blue; I mean how pretty is that?! We make everything in our wok from breakfast potatoes to stir fry for dinner.

The best thing about cast iron cookware is that they will last forever, they are fairly inexpensive, and they’re versatile, you can cook almost anything in them. Also, they retain heat really well. I could go on and on.

And best of all with induction cooking, it’s all about speed. It boils water within four minutes. Now that is my kind of cooking! Because with two little boys who are always hungry and begging us for food and wanting to play we can spend less time in the kitchen and more time with our little dudes.

However, they do love to help us cook too! I don’t think there is one thing in the day that they don’t want to help us with.

So with our induction cooktop and our new cookware from Wayfair, we’re going to spend less time in the kitchen and more time conquering the day with our littles.
