Now that Halloween is over, it’s time to get up some new decor. Or if you’re like us, you just slightly decorate for Halloween but more so decorate for fall all around. That way you only have to take down a few things and put a few new things up. Or do you just get right to Christmas? If it weren’t for Jamie, the day after Halloween we’d for sure have our tree up! Ha!

We got our first snowfall the day I came home from San Fran, and I was in a winter wonderland! Snow makes me SO happy, and I’ve been listening to Christmas music ever since. So in preparation for Thanksgiving, because it’ll be here before you know it, we wanted to share with our top eight favorite Thanksgiving tablescapes that have inspired us, and we want you to see! To create a tablescape like this, you’re going to need a few weeks of planning.

1. Place Card Place Mat

How simple and elegant! Take a roll of brown paper, or you could even use a brown paper bag to create a placemat, and then all you need is a white marker. And someone with adorable handwriting…

2. Light & Whimsical

Go green, light, and white. Bring in the natural tones and textures. I love how simple this centerpiece is with a ton of greenery running down the center and adding some simple black and white candles and holders. Of course, accenting with pops of gold!

3. Copper Design

Spray painting pumpkins are favorite. We shared live on WCCO TV the other day that this year we’re spraying all of our pumpkins gold and blush pink. Such an easy and inexpensive way to transition from Halloween to Thanksgiving without having to waste any decor.

4. Gratitude Slips

Thanksgiving is all about showing Gratitude! This centerpiece has gratitude slips on them. So while you’re sipping wine and enjoying one another’s presence, write some gratitude slips of things you’re thankful for. Great conversation starter too!

5. Pumpkin Vase

Ok, it doesn’t get much cuter than this! Just use a beautiful white pumpkin as your vase holder. The end. You don’t need much more than that if you ask me.

6.  Fancy for Free

We love shopping in our yard, and here you can simply add an organic touch with freebies outdoors. Grab your cutting sheers and take a walk outside to create your perfect tablescape.

7. Use Family Photos

Use old family photos for guests to find their place. We love our pictures and our family. For our own wedding all the table centerpieces were wedding photos of our friends and family. We still have all the photos and I’m trying to figure out which wall to make a massive collage on. Or now I’m thinking I could just use them as the name place settings. So personal.

8. Design Custom Plates

Make your mark with some ceramic paint. Take those boring white plates and add a little customization to it! Find the full tutorial here.
