Spread the love.

We’re kicking off not just one, but two bathroom projects this week and they’re in the same house! Our clients want to rework their main level to create an additional bathroom as part of their new master suite, plus remodel the main bathroom. They’re also adding a bedroom in the basement, along with an office/nook space. Are you following? It will be a crazy transformation and we’re excited to bring you along for the ride! You can follow along on Instagram to see all the updates by following the hashtag #cohasneybathrooms. But for now, let’s take it back to the before…

Before

What you’re looking at is currently a bedroom, but not for long! Our clients are moving their boys downstairs (to a new bedroom being created just for them!) and taking over this bedroom to become their new master suite. The closet is coming down to become a wetroom with a freestanding tub and shower and a new larger closet will go in the space in front of the window.

On the other side of the hallway is their master bedroom and they want to take the hallway space, plus the bedroom pictured above to create one amazing suite. We can’t wait to share how this transformation goes!

Main Bathroom

The other project we’re working on is the main bathroom. Right now, it’s the only bathroom on the main level and used by all six members of this family. With some of the boys moving downstairs, this bathroom is going to be for the girls.

Right now, the cabinets to the left are not functional and lacking adequate storage. Plus the shell sinks and tile dates this bathroom and our clients are looking to give it some fresh love.

Mood Boards

The inspiration for these bathrooms included beautiful greens, complemented by wood, and black accents. They fell in love with the ceiling shown in the mood board and we’re going to be recreating it in their wetroom, along with an accent tile wall.

In the girl’s bathroom, deep green is the color choice for the vanity, paired with pattern tile floor and accents of gold.

Master Suite

By removing the closet and adding walls, the blueprint of this room is completely different. Now, the space will have a toilet room, closet, wetroom, and vanity. The plan is to also take some of the hallway space to create an entry into the new master suite.

In this bathroom, a double sink vanity and tall linen cabinet provide ample storage, while the toilet room adds privacy. Light wood vanity cabinets with quartz countertops keep the space light and bright. Over each sink, pendant lights will illuminate the vanity.

Opposite the vanity is the closet and wetroom. We’re big fans of wetrooms over here at construction2style and can’t wait to see this one come to life. A wetroom is a space where the tub and shower are combined to make one room that’s all tiled, making it easy to clean.

For this wetroom, there will be a freestanding tub, accent green tile, and teak wood ceiling planks. On the other side of the room, there will be the showerhead, controls, and niche.

And now to the fun part, the renderings! In the main bathroom, sliding doors make the closet more accessible and functional to create more storage space.

A double sink vanity will provide lots of countertop for getting ready and drawers for additional storage.

The plan is to keep a tub in here for the kids and the dogs, complete with a handheld showerhead to make for easy cleanup. With a tile surround and new sliding glass door, this shower and tub are definitely getting an upgrade.
