As a family who now spends most of their time, before and after school, in the kitchen (of course, with the littles always wanting to be by our side to help), we’ve realized just how important our kitchen design elements and technology really are. We recently upgraded our kitchen faucet to incorporate touch technology, and it has been a GAME CHANGER. And now something we are highly recommending to all of our clients for several different reasons.
Did you guys see the full reveal of our recent kitchen design and remodel, the Upton Modern Chateau project?
In that project, we incorporated the Delta®Broderick™ Kitchen Faucet with Touch2O® Technology.
We took this kitchen sink and faucet from this…
Have you guys heard about touch technology in the kitchen? This is something we have in our home and something we always recommend to clients. How many times do you walk up to your faucet and have kids in hand? Or, maybe chicken juice all over your hands or full of whatever else you’re cooking up? With Delta® Touch2O® Technology, you can simply walk up to your faucet and tap it with your arm, or if you have the Delta® VoiceIQ™ Technology, you can tell your smart home device to operate the faucet with various voice commands. My favorite is that it’s so easy for the boys to reach and tap to fill up their glass, whereas they can’t quite reach the lever in the back.
What drew us immediately to the Broderick faucet was the style and how it fits perfectly with this 100-year-old home’s character, yet with a modern updated flair.
Last fall, our team had the opportunity to fly out to Indianapolis and visit the Delta headquarters. And boy, did we leave us on inspiration and education overload! We learned about and saw firsthand how all Delta products are made, the why behind how products are designed and developed, and what was coming to market. The amount of kitchen and bath products Delta has is extensive, and they have so many different designs and finishes. It was super cool to hear from product designers, engineers, and product managers how these faucets go from start to finish.
With Touch2O® Technology, a simple touch anywhere on the spout or handle will start and stop the water flow. Especially with this day and age of what we’re living through right now, this helps your faucet stay cleaner! The less hand grabbing, the better!
The faucets also have LED lights (TempSense® Indicator) that signal if the water temperature is cold or hot, changing from blue to magenta to red as temperature increases, and flashes when the batteries are running low.
Another great feature is the Intuitive Touch2O® Technology can sense the difference between a touch and a grab, reducing the chances of activation. It also has an automatic water flow shut-off after four minutes to help conserve water. With children always wanting to “help,” this is a must in our household.
The Broderick Faucet also includes ShieldSpray® Technology, which powers off the mess without making a mess. There are a couple, if not a few, different spray options for Delta faucets, which is one of them with this design. It gives it enough force to clean off the mess without getting blasted by water in the face or making a mess of your countertops.
So, what do you all think, worth it?! If not, you need to come on over and give ours a try! You’ll want one in no time.
