Boys Bathroom, Masculine Design | Rogers, MN

the challenge

This guest bathroom in the custom new build is being used for both guests and as the bathroom for our client’s son. For the design, the goal was to make the space feel masculine, but also timeless and appeal to guests as well. Having some storage in the space, without the vanity feeling clunky or cluttered was another element our clients wanted to include. Bringing in the gold and black accents from the rest of the home into this guest bathroom allows it to compliment the overall design.

our solution

Using patterned square black and white tile for the floor adds a fun geometric element that provides a great base for the space. An open-shelf white oak vanity provides storage, without making the space feel smaller with closed cabinets and drawers. A black tilt mirror ties into other mirrors throughout the home and the caged black and gold sconces framed on either side of the mirror are a fun play-off the typical glass sconce. A gold faucet accent the lights and a black frame shower door completes the space.
