Guest Bedroom Styling | Blaine, MN

Last fall, we got to work with these amazing clients and it was such a fun project. When they asked us to help source furniture and style their guest bedroom, we were pumped! The inspiration for this space was some rustic elements, blue tones that also tied into the decor we used to style their built-ins, and wonderful textures. These selections remind us of a warm, Scandinavian style and we love how inviting all of the pieces feel when paired together.

Material Selections:

the challenge

In this basement bedroom, our clients were looking for new furniture and styling pieces to create a beautiful guest bedroom. The room gets lots of natural light from a large window, but they also wanted to maintain privacy and being able to not have it so bright for guests as well. Along with the furniture that reflects their style and home, they were looking for decor pieces to transform the room into a place where their guest would feel at home and that felt cozy and warm.

our solution

For this guest bedroom, the inspiration for the furniture was Scandinavian mixed with modern farmhouse. To create a warm and welcoming space, we incorporated a variety of textures like leather and faux fur, added hints of greenery through decor, and chose furniture pieces that were rustic, yet had clean lines and a modern design. Adding window treatments allows the sun to filter through during the day, but provides privacy at night. The velvet chair is a great spot for curling up with a book or a spot for guests to put on their shoes or relax. A nightstand provides a place for keys, books, and phones, while the table lamp allows for cozy lighting once the sun goes down.
