This living room refresh was part of a whole main level remodel. When we first started this project, our clients were in labor with their newborn twins, with two toddlers already at home. If any clients could withstand all that crazy, plus an entire main level remodel, it’s these clients. Here is a closer look at how we stylishly redefined the space to meet the needs of this growing family.
This living room is right off the kitchen that got remodeled, so our clients were looking to update this space for a cohesive look in this open concept. The fireplace tile and large wood mantle was not fitting our clients style. In addition, the carpet floors and dark stained built-ins needed a refresh. The shelving was not very functional since the shelves were near the top of the nooks.
The engineered flooring from the kitchen continued into the living room space, which makes the room feel modern and updated. Adding new furniture like the leather sofa, green velvet swivel chair, and rug reflects our clients style. Gold geometric large format tile gives the fireplace a fresh, new look, complete with a clean and modern looking mantle. Painting the built-in cabinets white makes the room feel brighter, while the new floating shelves at a lower height allow for better storage and decor space. A gallery wall displays family photos and a new gold flush mount lights up the room.
