Sparklepants Lanes Design | Mrs. Minnesota 1

Spread the love.

We are so excited to be talking about the new design project, Sparklepants Lanes, we’re working on for the wonderful Jessica Koehler – AKA – Mrs. Minnesota America 2020! Koehler, a married mom of three, health and wellness industry leader, and a volunteer mentor with Minnesota Adult & Teen Challenge.

Jessica recently contacted us because they wanted to spice up their newly renovated lower level space done by Hansen Builders and Brunswick, where they put in a bowling alley, and are calling it, Sparklepants Lanes! Jessica found us through resilience2reform, where her mission aligns closely with ours at r2r to battle addiction.

We jumped at the chance and we were honored she is trusting us to help bring her vision to life. We went over to her gorgeous family home, got a full tour, and talked through how they were using the space and what they were missing. We knew it just needed a bit more personality!

Being she’s Mrs. Minnesota and currently in Las Vegas right now competing as Mrs. Minnesota, one of the bigger pictures she has for this space is opening it up to the community.

The Before

We were able to go over to Jessica’s house to see the bowling alley and see what we’re working with. As seen in the pictures, what is needed are some fun seating areas and stools, as well as a fun statement piece.

Design Feel

The next step was to go back and create our concept board after talking with Jessica and getting a feel for her vibe, what she wanted, and how she was going to use the space. Being it was going to be a place to entertain we knew more seating and comfortable seating was a must. A console table we already picked from Arhaus for that area that doubles as either more tables or bench seating, but can be tucked underneath to allow full motion bowling action in the space.

We also partner with Carrie the Moment often and when Jessica said she would love a Neon sign with her Sparklepants logo we knew Carrie would be our gal. She has a partnership with Glowhub.co and they are already working on designing a custom neon sign for the bowling alley.

Jessica and her husband love leather accents, so we suggested leather stools with our main choices being from Arhaus. We also knew some window treatments would really warm up the space and are toying with a few different options.

Lots more design and details coming and we’re so excited to see this mood board come to life! And we also can’t wait to see how Jessica uses this space for the good in the world. After hearing just a few of her ideas, I know that this investment is only going to bring her community together and empower those in it.

Stay tuned for the progress and reveal and you know we’ll keep you updated on our social media.
