Animals and a Construction Zone: What to do?

1

Leashed Introduction

Do a formal, leashed, introduction with your animals to contractors. By doing this, it introduces your animals to the workers and the workers to your animals. That way there is no “stranger danger” situation!

2

Keep Them in a Safe Environment

After the introduction, be sure to keep your animals contained in a safe environment while the team is working. This ensures that they aren’t in the construction zone, or accidentally sneak out of the house while we may have doors propped open during certain phases.

2

Keep Them in a Safe Environment

If we’re renovating in a space where animals cannot be contained at all times, we ask that they’re leashed with the homeowner while we are in the home. Sometimes the noises are loud and can scare animals, and we don’t want anything bad to happen.

3

Keep Your Contractor in The Loop

If you need to walk through the construction zone to take animals out of the house for any reason, we just ask that you give us a forewarning so we can clear a path/get out of your way.
