the challenge

The main thing our clients wanted to change about this space was turning three rooms into one big, open space. Before, the kitchen was small and enclosed and separate from the dining room. The challenge of turning three walls into one means having to involve an architect and engineers in order to tear down the walls to create an open concept.

our solution

We called up our architect and engineering friends and were able to come up with a new support beam in the basement. By adding in the support beam, we were able to take down the walls that separated the kitchen, dining, and living spaces to give our clients the open concept they wanted.
