Little updates can make a home feel so different and freshen up the space. Elements that inspired our client included a black island, fun lighting, the clean look of quartz, and white and bright kitchens.
This client came to us wanting to make some simple updates to their kitchen without having to do a total overhaul. When they moved in the year prior they took the initiative to paint their cabinetry white but still wanted a little something but wasn’t entirely sure what.
So with our design help we got to work. They wanted more space along their island so we suggested just adding a couple legs to bring out the length for seating and getting new countertops. We also suggested a light and bright backsplash, new faucet, sink and pendant lighting. They were onboard with all the changes we suggested. Being the cabinetry, countertops, and backsplash were so light and bright we wanted to off set the island and painted it jet black.
We went with white Cambria quartz countertops and Cle Tile for the backsplash in a herringbone pattern instead of a a traditional basic subway tile layout. The wicker pendant lights were also the perfect touch to bring a little more warmth back into the space.
