Our clients had recently purchased and moved into this home and wanted to open up the kitchen in order to have an open concept and make it their own. In order to do just that, walls needed to be removed, carpet and flooring taken out, and the floor plan needed to be reconfigured. The previous kitchen was very small and a difficult space to cook in with limited space.
By opening up the wall and turning the kitchen from a small and crowded space into a large open concept kitchen, the family can all be together in one space. Installing two large islands provides ample work space for baking and cooking, as well as a separate island for seating many people. Over the oven, beautiful patterned tile and a statement hood draw the eye and make it focal point in the room. Using different color cabinets for the perimeter and islands, along with different countertops, gives this kitchen a unique factor. Large pendants, over the island used for seating, bring interest to the space and allow for the area to be well lit. Overall, this open concept gives our clients a much bigger kitchen that’s perfect for their family and entertaining family and friends.
