Queensland Mudroom | Maple Grove, MN

Mudrooms have become increasingly trendy over the past few years so we’ve gotten more and more requests to do them. For this particular project, we used a lot of white, gold, black, and wood colors throughout the rest of the main level, so for the mudroom we stuck with that same scheme.

the challenge

Our clients have four kids and this space right off the garage was needing some shelving and storage. Since it’s a smaller nook, we wanted to maximize the space, but keep it open and simple because it is close to the kitchen as well.

our solution

To make this nook functional, yet fit the style with the rest of the home, we added a shiplap accent wall. Additionally, Jamie and Topher installed a floating oak bench that complimented the floating vanity in the powder bath and custom wood hood. Some shelving above for baskets and other storage, plus hooks for backpacks and coats, makes this mudroom complete.
