Our client’s top priority was to incorporate functional storage in their living room without sparing any aesthetics. Our client wanted to incorporate the TV into the design without it being a focal point or an eye sore.
We recently completed a board and batten accent wall in the master bedroom of this home. Check that out here. We decided to use shiplap in the living room to tie the two spaces together without being too repetitive. To provide storage we added a custom built in cabinetry with open shelving as well as base cabinetry with doors to keep some items hidden. We drilled a hole through the back of the shiplap, inserted a CVP pipe that brought it down the TV cords to the base cabinet for easy access. To keep the room feeling light, bright and airy we painted the cabinetry white with gold accent hardware.
