Our clients loved the layout of their master bathroom, but they were wanting to give it an updated look. They are planning to sell their house, so they weren’t looking to spend a lot on their master bathroom, but still wanted it to feel more modern, bright, and light. Since the cabinets and tub look great and are in good shape, we recommended keeping them to save on costs and updating the tile in the bathroom. In addition, they wanted to update the shower with new tile and put in a new shower head. Another update to the space was painting the walls, ceiling, doors, and trim to give it a fresh feel.
For this master bathroom refresh, we went with a pattern tile with blue and grey tones that compliments the freshly painted walls in Sherwin Williams “Grey Screen.” All of the trim and doors got a fresh coat of paint as well, making the previous darker color much brighter. By painting trim, cabinets, walls, and ceiling, the room looks so much brighter and lighter. Taking out the dated tile surrounding the tub and replacing it with white elongated hexagon tile makes the room feel bigger and adds a fun shape to compliment the square floor tile. A new shower surround complete with a new shower head and glass shower door makes it look brand new.
