We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend! We were busy party and family hopping. Not only did we get to celebrate Easter with both of our families but we got to celebrate the wedding of my cousin and my nieces 1st birthday!!
We were recently contacted by Bobbee excited to announce their new line of paper lanterns. And being the party planner that I am, I was excited to try them out. Here is how to decorate with paper lanterns, and why we love them!
Fast and Affordable
I love decorating with paper lanterns! They offer a subtle, versatile and cost effective way to decorate for any party big or small. More and more people even today are using them to decorate rooms in their homes and offices.
Bobee graciously sent us some of their new colorful paper lanterns to test out for Izzy’s 1st birthday party! And of course my sweet 3 year old niece had to be my little assistant and right there in the action helping auntie decorate for her little sisters birthday!
Easy Storage
Paper lanterns are also easily able to store as they can expand and lay flat. Unlike balloons you are able to reuse and recycle from party to party. We used red, white and blue paper lanterns for our Memorial Day Gender Reveal BBQ.
Easy Assembly
Paper lanterns are very easy to assemble. To assemble you simply stretch out the paper lantern and place the wire expander into the center of the lantern.
For my bridal shower these lovely ladies used white paper lanterns and strung them with lights within the outdoor tent. It made for a beautiful shower and evening!
Easy to Hang
You can use any ribbon, string, fishing line, or lights to hang the paper lanterns. As you can see, there are a variety of different ways to display and hang the lanterns.
Chinese Lanterns also make for great wedding gifts! As part of our wedding gift from Jamie’s sister and brother-in-law they gave us chinese paper lanterns. The ritual is said to be known that launching these together as husband and wife symbolizes good luck and prosperity. I love the idea of watching your dreams for the future take flight on your wedding night! So of course we launched them on the 1st day of our marriage! It was such a sweet gift!
The lantern is made of lightweight biodegradable tissue paper on a bamboo frame with a small wax fuel cell suspended in the middle.
There are also a ton of ways to DIY paper lanterns. One of my favorite is adding a little DIY to the already made lanterns. I love these lanterns Serendipity Creative made!
The DIY paper lantern options and inspiration out there are endless. We hope you learned some fun new tricks on how to decorate with paper lanterns. Whether you are a DIYer or a buyer, paper lanterns are a sure fire way to add some fun decor to any space!
Oh I love that!!! Yes, for sure!! They are super easy to store and add so much to any party. Best of luck on your daughter’s party!
I like how you mentioned how easy paper lanterns are to store, because they expand and lay flat, and you can recycle them from party to party. My daughter’s birthday party is coming up and she really wants to have lanterns. After learning about all the many benefits of decorating with paper lanterns, I will definitely consider getting them for my daughter’s party.
