Who’s on the air fryer bandwagon?! Jamie’s brother and his wife recently bought one, and that was the first time I had heard about it. After a while and all of the raves, we thought we’d give it a try too, so we invested in our first one, and we’re in love!
So today, we wanted to share with you what an air fryer is and our favorite dinner recipes for using one.
The cool thing about air fryers is that they give you control over how much salt and oil you add, which makes for healthier alternatives for your favorite fried food. From chicken to steak to veggies, you can pretty much cook anything in your air fryer.
Air Fryer Zucchini Fries
Sweet Peas & Saffron has the most delicious recipe for Air Fryer Zucchini Fries.
Anytime we go out to eat, and deep-fried green beans are on the menu, I always order! Those are one of my favorites, and as you can imagine, probably loaded with calories when out dining. I highly doubt they are using air fryers. Her Zucchini Fries gave me the same satisfaction as my deep-fried green beans and are a healthier version.
With under five ingredients, you can whip these up in a snap. Oh, and she also has a recipe for Air Fry Green Beans which are just as fabulous too.
Cauliflower Tots
Being the Minnesotan hot-dish lovers that we are, one of our all-time favorites is tater tot hot-dish, so we’re big fans of tots! And this Cauliflower Tots recipe from delish is exactly that, delish!
Homemade Pizza
I mean, you can even make homemade pizza in your air fryer! The sky is the limit with this appliance.
If it were up to our boys, they’d be eating pizza for dinner every night, so it’s always fun to spice things up, make our own, and a healthier version at that.
Brussel Sprouts
Tasty Air Fryer Recipes is loaded with well, you guessed it…delicious air fryer recipes! And one of those is their Brussel Sprouts that we can’t get enough of.
Brussel sprouts make the perfect side for any dinner meal or as a snack. And when they are perfectly warm but crispy, even better.
Sweet Potato
Courtney’s Sweets has one of the best and most simple air fryer sweet potato recipes!
We are big fans of sweet potatoes in our home and no matter how many times we’ve cooked them, every now and again, I cook them a couple of minutes too long and they’re just a little bit too mushy for our taste, even though we still eat them anyway. And it’s also super easy to undercook sweet potatoes. So with an air fryer, you don’t have to worry about a thing. They are perfectly cooked and crispy.
Chicken Wings
Besides pizza, if it were up to our little dude Greyson, he’d want chicken wings for dinner every night. Another one of our favorite air fry recipes from Sweet Peas and Saffron is her chicken wing recipe.
Chicken Kabobs
Thanks to an air fryer, it can feel like summer all year long! It’s rare that you find us breaking out the grill when it’s 30 below in MN, but we sure do miss our grilling food season, but now with an air fryer, chicken kabobs have become our new go-to. The Typical Mom has a super simple and delicious recipe on chicken kabobs.
Zucchini Corn Fritters
Zucchini and corn, two of my favorite things! And these fritters from, Watch What U Eat, will leave you and/or your guests coming back for me. Bonus they look super fancy and probably hard to make when in reality, all you need is less than six ingredients. And bonus, if you don’t have an air fryer, she walks you through how to make them without one, which tastes equally as great.
