A few weeks after bringing Sutton home from the hospital, she started to get baby acne. I know it’s normal; however, hers seemed extreme!
After chats with her pediatrician, I learned that laundry detergent and clothing material could be some of the top irritants for little ones. Therefore, I realized how careful I must be moving forward when caring for Sutton’s sensitive skin.
I first discovered the Grayson Collective in browsing on my Target app, and after that, I was directly targeted on my TikTok feed by other new moms purchasing these clothes for their little ones. So, I knew I had to buy a few pieces to see what it was all about!
Grayson Collective, is a new line at Target that’s made out of soft, high-end fabrics.
When my order arrived, I was shocked at how much softer these baby clothes were than the other big brands out there. And from there – I was hooked! Almost all of Sutton’s milestone photos have been in an outfit from their collection, just so I had an excuse to gather more of the collective’s pieces for her wardrobe.
After meeting the owners, we learned that Grayson Collective was created to bring a trend forward and sustainable clothing in the newborn category.
Grayson Collective sets itself apart by bringing high-quality fabrication and silhouettes to each collection while ensuring its colors, graphics, and prints capture that boutique feel.
While they bring that unique elevation to the table, their product is available only at Target (and Target online), and they keep the guest in mind with affordable price points.
The accessibility aspect of the brand is very significant. Online shopping is a MUST for new moms, busy families, or grandparents that prefer to avoid going and browsing stores.
They’re slowly starting to integrate to some in-stores setups at a few Target Stores around, and I can tell you that once it’s in my local stores I’ll be hovering in that area more often than not.
How the Collective Helps – Anya’s Take
As a new mom, I would share that most of our first baby clothes were picked out by my friends and family, who were incredibly generous with their shower gifts.
Having said that, I realize that this is only true for first-time moms. You are navigating not only the whole new chapter of adjusting to a newborn in your home and having a new family member but also trying to dress someone else rather than your husband.
I quickly learned that cute is not always my first indicator when choosing baby clothes for Giselle. It’s first and foremost the quality of fabric because, a baby’s skin is so thin, smooth, and fragile that the last thing you want to be guilty of is irritating it with nylons, polyesters or acrylics.
That is precisely why organic cottons and linens are the routes I have been taking. Fabrics that absorb moisture, allow baby skin to breathe and don’t cause it to sweat.
After getting some of our first samples from Grayson Collective, I was very impressed and it didn’t take our team too long to dress our Ellie, Sutton and Gigi into those darling neutral pieces.
Sad Beige Baby Clothing
Have you heard of this joking trend – that moms these days aren’t dressing their babes in enough color?!
This is another reason why the Grayson Collective is a win for me. Their subtle colors aren’t too bold & are a more muted, boho feel.
I love color, don’t get me wrong, but some of the clothing made for babies, especially newborns, seems too bright for anyone’s eyes!
Here’s a look into our Grayson Collective photoshoot with the c2s girls and their babes.
Grayson Collective | Spring Collection
Ellie’s Outfits
For Ellie’s first outfit, she sported an adorable rust colored jumpsuit with cream & white floral.
Next up, this honey ribbed t-shirt & set of gauze cozy pants.
I think Ellie girl is a shoe in for any future modeling jobs after this shot!
Sutton’s Outfits
Sutton first sported this perfect spring two piece set! The peach color is a perfect transition into warmer weather that we’ll get in Minnesota at some point…right?
And then – the floral bodysuit dress.
This pattern matches Ellie’s jumpsuit, so if you’re a momma of a baby & a toddler… you now have the cutest matching outfit pairing ever!
Giselle’s Outfits
Gigi’s first outfit is one of my favorite from the collection for a little one – the cream & black onesie with vegetables on it!
And for Gigi’s second look, her mustard bodysuit dress. She CRUSHED the look with her bright blue eyes.
We think she enjoyed the outfit too.
Safe to say, the c2s crew is a huge fan of the Grayson Collective. And, we love watching smaller brands grow big – so we’ll be cheering and supporting as they venture into more storefronts.
