Our baby girl is officially 6 months old. How?! Our little El, Ellie-belly, our big, beautiful, blue-eyed girl is growing up way too fast. And although I love seeing her personality come through with each new day that passes, I’m crying on the inside too because she’s growing up way too fast!
However, I have been feeling so much gratitude recently. As I wake up covered in my babies, nothing makes this momma’s heart happier and more thankful for every new day that we get to experience.
Postpartum feels a whole lot different this time around. Not sure if it’s because it’s our last baby, maybe different postpartum hormones after having a girl, possibly all of the events from this last year to make you realize how important the little things in life are, or just a new season of life … but regardless, I’m here for it! And soaking up every moment, trying my best to make every day count.
Updates on Ellie at 6 months old…
She still is not sleeping through the night (sigh) but takes a solid 3-hour nap during the day. She loves to eat bananas, squash, blueberries… well, pretty much anything as there hasn’t been one food yet that I have fed her that she hasn’t liked. Mommy officially pulled the boob last week. She loves to game with brother Greyson and laugh at her silly bra- bra Beckam. She is a wiggly worm and we have a feeling she will be crawling any day as she’s rolling all over our house and kicking those chunky thighs like crazy. She jabbers all day long and nothing makes my heart more full than when I walk into the room and one of the boys is sitting and having a conversation with her. She’s still going to work with momma and will start daycare in less than two months. She’s gaining one new roll a day, and we do our best not to eat her up every single minute of every single day.

And a huge THANK YOU to Laura Rae for capturing these perfect moments of our babies that will last a lifetime. She invited us into her new studio, Little Lion, to grab some baby photos and her concept is genius! You just show up and she dresses them all up. Beyond the time it took off my plate to choose outfits and get all the kids ready, it saved this momma anxiety, stress, and meltdowns with my kids. We’ll for sure come back and we can’t recommend her enough.
