How adorable is this photo of Greyson?! My wonderful girlfriends, Amber & Ashley Marvin, surprised me with this personalized gift. If you know me, I love, love, love my pictures and large, very large pictures. I only get pictures printed that are 5×7 and bigger. These girls know the way to my heart. They are also the owners, with their sister Amie and father Scott, of Familylaser. Remember those cutting board giveaways I did awhile back? Well, this is the same business that makes those. You can read all about this wonderful family HERE.
I am a big fan of large canvas prints. But I don’t have too many because they are so expensive and sometimes a little too thick. So this is the perfect alternative. And if you love wood, like us, then you will love this! This is actually a photo maple panel that they sublimated Greyson’s onto wood with wood grains lightly showing through. And at Familylaser it only costs you $30! Which is absolutely crazy to me how inexpensive that is. I think it costs close to that much just to print this photo alone.
Familylaser offers two services, both requiring specialized, high end equipment. They have the ability to take any of your ideas and personalize it by laser engraving or sublimating a product. Best part is if you can’t find it at their shop, they will do what they can to find the product for you to be engraved. They truly are the best family to work with. Your idea is then captured in a unique way that will last forever!
Their mission is to be recognized as a destination that provides a unique menu of high quality, customized laser and sublimated products. They strive to operate a business that any family could be proud of. That means taking care of clients through quality products and personal service. Be sure to check them out and get your Christmas shopping list taken care of.
When you hear the word “sublimation” think of your favorite photo forever embedded into something of your choice complete with all the vividness and color contrasts. Of course there is more technical terminology as the process includes specially treated substrates, a heat press and a unique copy paper that makes everything come together. In the end, the result is all about capturing your photo onto your showpiece.
That showpiece could be a beautiful wood maple photo panel that allows the wood grains to enhance the picture. Or it could be a tile picture encased in a Cherry frame. How about “sublistone” which is rugged slate stone that is equally as beautiful. Price conscious? Then maybe a glass cutting board or a set of coasters. In all cases, your photo will be embedded into the product, never to fade or chip and reflecting all the character your picture offers. Sublimation… A unique way to preserve memories.
I couldn’t have thought of a more perfect gift for someone. Thanks again Familylaser, you guys are seriously the best!
Thanks Amber!!
So well written!! Great post! Beautiful boy. Xo
