Since the day we turned the formal dining room into our cozy little music and reading room. we have been on the hunt for either a coffee table or a couple of end tables. And thanks to Lowe’s we found just what we wanted.
When we first bought our home, if you remember, we took this space from this…
to this…
And now this…
Wasn’t exactly sure what style or color we were looking for when it came to tables until we got our eyes on some live edge pieces and we knew the natural wood would be the perfect touch to our already overly colorful space. Everyone is loving live edge right now, which means it can also get pretty spendy. And after our kitchen remodel, we’re not feeling very spendy right now! Ha!
Luckily, Lowe’s had a live edge coffee table for under $70. We chose their natural wood pine rectangular design and decided on a coffee table. I thought since this is the spot I’m usually spending most of my time writing in, I always want my feet kicked up and usually have too many notebooks, planners and computers laying out that I’d want a table in front instead of on the sides of the couch.
The size we chose fit perfectly for the space and it was simple to assemble too. We chose the 2-in x 19-in x 48-in size and then we got two modern industrial steel legs for the table. For the leg height, we chose the 15″ which was the perfect height to go alongside our couch.
When I say it was simple to install, I mean four screws and that’s all, so for less than $150 and within 20 minutes, we had ourselves a brand new live edge coffee table to kick our feet up on!
We also placed the legs a foot from each end of the table.
We couldn’t be happier with how easy it was to install and how it brought our space together!
You can also paint the legs or stain the top, but for now, we liked the industrial and raw natural look.
