Oh Baby!
My husband Anthony and I, are overjoyed to announce that we’re having a BABY! And it’s a GIRL.
It still seems surreal to say out loud, but as we enter the second trimester with this sweet little one, we figured it was time to let you all enjoy the ride with us.
Baby Schulz will be joining the crew in early July 2022. I’m fully expecting a 4th of July baby, as its Anthony’s favorite holiday.
We had been married just over a year prior to finding out we were expecting. Although we did deal with a little infertility battle up front, when it finally happened – the whole sequence of events felt out of dream…
We found out on my birthday, and the following week we moved into our new home in which we knew we’d raise our future kiddos in.
We also found out our best friends are expecting and are due a month before us, so are excited to continue life’s adventures together with them.
Telling our families + friends has been one of my favorite experiences thus far in the pregnancy. It worked out so that we were able to share with our immediate families around Thanksgiving, and extended family & friends around Christmas.
We did our best to record everyone’s reaction when telling them, and compiled a few TikTok‘s sharing their reactions (and also to look back on and show Baby S in the future).
And since we are now into the second trimester, we were able to find out the sex of the baby. We’re so excited to start our family that we are just praying for a happy, healthy little one.
We held a small, gender reveal party a few weeks ago and found out… it’s a GIRL!!
We decided in true, Minnesota fashion that we had to do something outside. With our closest family and friends around us, we shot off this powder popper filled with either pink or blue.
I was completely shocked, to say the least. All of the old wives tales were so wrong for this pregnancy.
Every one of them had me convinced we were going to have a little dude joining us.
And, what’s a reveal without a little confetti popping action for some more pictures.
Next on my list of a million things to do before our baby girl gets here is to plan out her nursery space. You’d think it may be easy but it’s proving to be more difficult even with the creative mind in me!
I’ll also be diving into Morgan’s list of Ellie’s favorite baby girl things to load up my registry as the time grows closer.
We’re over the moon excited to be parents to this sweet little babe that will make her way into the world this summer.
