Hello, Summer!
It’s official, summer is here, and I can finally say those exact words to our 5-year-old.
“It isn’t summer yet!” Is what our oldest, Greyson, would keep reminding me even though the sun was out and it’s been 90 degrees. I think they must have been having a countdown to summer at daycare.
This morning I woke up feeling, blah. So after a couple hours of working unsuccessfully I put myself back to bed, woke up again & told the family to get in the car and that we were headed on an adventure, which led us to the lake. There is nothing that soothes my soul more than simply sitting and listening to the sound of the water…whether it’s the lake, ocean, or river. And man did it turn the day around! The perfect ending to our day was making our massive summer bucket list. Any more funky days for anyone in this crew, we’re going right to our list. Sunshine, summertime full of family adventures here we come! ⠀
