Built to Last Custom Closets

Spread the love.

If you know us well, you know that we’re all about those custom closets and organization! Earlier in spring, we had the honor of working alongside Built to Last Custom Closets on Arrowhead Artisan custom closets in every bedroom of the house while also closely collaborating with Neat Method and Covered.

At Built to Last Custom Closets, they believe that every space has the potential to become the most efficient, organized, and inspiring.

“We want our customers to be at one with themselves and the space they are in, allowing them to focus on the things that really matter. We achieve this by giving one-on-one customer service, a well-designed storage system, and a thoroughly executed installation.”

And we can speak firsthand, that they did just that for us at Arrowhead.

Built to Last Custom Closets – Primary En Suite

Primary En Suite is one of our favorite closets in the home. Beyond the three bedrooms we are sharing today: the primary, guest bedroom and nursery, Built to Last Custom Closets also completed additional three bedrooms and a mudroom for us.

One of our musts for the overall closet design was for it to not only look stylish, but also have a high-end quality finish. And Built to Last Custom Closets definitely delivered. They designed and installed it – and took care of us from beginning to end.

They visited the home multiple times to confirm drawings and provide in-person options for finishes and measurements. From start to finish, we have never encountered one hiccup in this process.

For the Primary Closet, we chose the overall wood finish that was called Linen; Ashen was for the backing. As for square edging and the hardware, hooks, and pulls, they were in a matte nickel.

They also added the mirror above drawer stacks and a lighting system. My favorite thing about this color palette is that it can be masculine or feminine. It is the perfect combination for either of the looks you want to achieve.

The Process at Built to Last Custom Closets is simple. Measure, design and install. And their timeline is even better!

And now let’s chat fashion! What you see me wearing a lot on the daily basis is all from Covered, which is a women’s boutique here in Minneapolis, MN.

I mean, just read up on the ladies behind this boutique and you’ll know why I shop there. They offer more beyond than the fashion-forward clothes.

And if you follow their Instagram, they do lives daily and you can just send them a direct message with what you’d like to buy and they’ll ship it right to you. That’s how I roll when buying from them. So it was a no-brainer, when we needed some stylish apparel within these closets, that I asked Covered to fill them up for the Artisan home tour.

We also worked alongside Lauren from NEAT Method on the organization of storage bins. NEAT Method Minnesota specializes in home organization, unpacking, and decluttering, from small spaces to entire homes and offices.

From cleaning out closets to organizing the kitchen, they make any space feel functional, taking into consideration any lifestyle. We also worked closely with this team on our own personal kitchen organization years ago.

You can find the full blog post here. Over five years later, it still looks as good as new.

We can’t recommend hiring them enough! If you are looking for space-saving solutions and don’t know where to begin, we have a blog post for you on how to create space saving solutions.

Guest Bedroom Closet Style

Next up is one of the guest bedrooms. For this space we didn’t need an overly complicated design.

The style, finish and system we chose was perfect for any guest or homeowner to utilize the space. Again, we chose Linen finish with nickel hardware and nickel poles.

Nursery

Another favorite room in the home was the nursery, the only room with a perfect view like this. It almost felt like you were in a tree fort, and that’s exactly the calming environment everyone needs within any nursery design.

This closet space is smaller, and we’re all about minimalism: a simple and minimal rod for littles with a good area for basket storage.

We decided that creating a space like this would be valuable since you’re constantly swapping out the kids’ clothes through seasons and sizes. However, when we designed the home, we were recommended to put a safe here and place drywall in front of it.

Being this is a spec home; we would see if the homeowners decided to utilize a safe in this space. And this decision, of course, would switch the closet system accordingly.
