Fall is right around the corner and you know what that means, winter is coming! Whether you’re in Minnesota like us and expecting below freezing temperatures or not, fall is the perfect time to start getting your home ready for the winter and do some home maintenance checks to prepare for the colder season ahead.
One of the few things we always like to do to prepare for the winter weather includes checking the HVAC, changing out air filters, and having a professional check our furnace and make sure we are properly winterizing our air conditioning unit.
We also like to do these routine checks before the winter season comes, so we’re aware if we’re going to come up against any significant costs ahead and can budget for. We called our local One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning® location come out this past week to look everything over.
Within minutes of calling them to get on their calendar, I had a date, and they were able to service our home in under a week. Love to know that they provide quick local service, and are also backed by a national brand.
Our technician, Eric, was pleasant to work with and super thorough about what he was doing, explaining to Jamie every step of the way. While he was there he explained what services they offered such as membership packages. All the connections, vents, coils and switches were turned on, cleaned and checked by our technician as well.
We’re happy to say, everything in our home was good to go. However, we were informed that most units last 15-20 years and ours is hitting 21 years. This routine check was fairly inexpensive, so it was nice to know we might be looking at a new system soon so that we can start saving just in case that day comes sooner than expected.
If you’re wanting to prep for the winter months ahead like us, you can click here to visit their website to find a location near you or call 855-One-Hour. Our local One Hour location is a part of the Direct Energy family of brands, and they have independently owned and operated locations across the US.
When you hire a One Hour technician, you can feel good that you’ll be served by a dependable professional, who’s skilled, clean, courteous and background-checked.
Anyone else excited about these cooling down temps?! Not gonna lie, we’re pretty pumped to cozy up in our home with our family in these winter months ahead!
