We purchased our first home together as husband and wife November 2013 in Otsego, MN. This home was built in 1981 and is a 4 bedroom, 3 bath home totaling 2400 square feet. Within days of closing on the home we gutted the entire kitchen. Who is Familylaser?

The Familylaser name is derived from a dad, Scott Marvin, and his three daughters, Amber, Ashley and Amie. Amber and Ashley are twins and just happen to be two of my best friends.

This family works closely in virtually all aspects of their business including creativity, manufacturing, inventory, order fulfillment and marketing. While each of them has a certain expertise they bring to the table, the one common denominator that they pride on and share is their passion to “get it right” and take care of their customers. This family believes that you build a business one customer at a time and that each customer is a relationship. They believe and hold tight to what Henry Ford once said, “A business that makes nothing but money is a poor business.” 

Familylaser offers two services, both requiring specialized, high end equipment. They have the ability to take your idea and personalize it.

Their mission is to be recognized as a destination that provides a unique menu of high quality, customized laser and sublimated products made for their growing base of customers. They strive to operate a business that any family could be proud of. That means taking care of clients through quality products and personal service. Their online store is designed to provide you with a safe and secure environment to browse their product catalog. 

Our Story

My freshman year of college at Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM) in Dahl Hall I met the Marvin girl twins, Amber and Ashley. My first impression… Wow. (My mouth might have even been wide open). Not only are these girls drop dead gorgeous with their natural beautiful red hair, but their energy…these girls are SO full of life it’s contagious.

We just happened to also be from rivalry high schools, Roseau vs. Warroad. So my best friend who I went to school with knew exactly who these girls were. Me on the other hand, had no idea, because the only sport I played was golf and in golf you become friends with the opposing teams (or maybe that’s just me).  To make a long story short, we clicked that first week and have been best friends since that day.

This family is by far the most sincerely humble, generous and loving families I have ever met. Their family bond is indescribable. The relationship that they have with one another and their parents is something I strive for. Scott and Lynda have shown their girls unconditional love, how to work hard and have instilled strong values of kindness, respect, and most importantly their faith. And this reflects within the business that they run together, Familylaser.

Not only do they treat every person they encounter in life with so much love and respect but to their own families. The kindness they show to complete strangers is admirable. In the 12 years I have known these girls, I have never once heard them speak an ill word about a person or talk negatively about a situation in life. They have truly taught me what Grace and being humble means. You know just by your first encounter with this family how much love they have for the Lord without them having to say one word.

They inspire me to be a better wife, mother, friend and overall a good human being. I have found myself in more situations than one thinking…what would my Marvin girls do? If you are lucky enough you will meet someone in your life that makes you laugh louder, cry deeper, breathe easier, smile bigger, love stronger and live deeper! These two are my people. And did I mention they can dance?!
