We recently wrapped up the Hidden Oaks Home project which consisted of a full kitchen remodel, living room refresh, lighting throughout, custom stair makeover, fireplace update, and while we were under construction added in their girl’s bathroom refresh. So we’re here today to share the full reveal – before, designs, under construction, and after.
As always, another favorite client of ours. But truly, these guys have already led to some great energy, connections, golf dates, and business relationships, not just for our own. One of a kind family and we know life-long friends. Up next, they’re already talking about their basement finish.
Hidden Oaks Home Kitchen & Livingroom
Our clients just recently bought this home! They loved the neighborhood, just a few feet away from biking and walking trails, the same school district from where they were previously living, and loved the home.
The layout was perfect and exactly what they were looking for – the only thing was they wanted to make it their own. Our clients always dreamed of a light and bright kitchen and we knew we could do just that and within their budget.
Before
As you can see – great bones of a home. And better yet, no walls had to come down and all the plumbing and electrical could remain the same – which is a huge saver on costs.
Our clients were open to new ideas but after walking through the space we didn’t think anything had to move. Everything was designed perfectly so why re-invent the wheel.
One thing that the clients didn’t love was the fireplace in-between the dining and living room. Initially, they were thinking about moving this to the living room wall but after we looked it all over, and asked why?
They realized they just didn’t love that it was this almost “tabletop” to put more stuff that they didn’t need. So we suggested bringing it up to the ceiling and leaving it where it was.
I personally love this location and love that it makes a statement for not only the kitchen, dining but also the living room. So they were up for it and that’s exactly what we did.
We also gave this room, the front living room, a little love with some new paint and lighting.
And here was the staircase that got a makeover. You can kind of peek through and see that the stairs had a different wood color and our clients wanted the home to all to feel light and bright, modern and cohesive. We also updated this area with a new foyer light and painting throughout the home.
Designs | Hidden Oaks Home
It’s crazy to look back at designs we did over a year ago – because we’ve already stepped up our mood board and selection sheet process game! But this was the overall vibe we were going for and presented. Light and bright, small splashes of color, the white oak flooring and black metal stair rail.
We had so much fun designing this project with this husband and wife. From gaining inspiration, designing it out and showroom meetings, they were all for all the things we presented every step of the way. This is what we always say – makes for the best end product! I have to say – the lighting throughout from our local vendor at Rabbit Creek was my favorite!
