Gifts! The only thing that stressed me out about our wedding. I just wanted to make everything very personable and meaningful. We had no idea what to get for…pretty much everyone! However, luckily, for our flower gifts we had the perfect idea (last minute, of course)! While living with my brother and his family this summer my sister-in-law once made a comment to me about how Willa brings home so many cool art projects every day and she has no idea what to do with so many. Then she proceeded to explain to me this awesome clip board type-of-thing for kids to hang their art work on that she had seen in a boutique. Ding, ding!! So this is what Jamie and I came up with…chalkboard/clipboards for their artwork!
We cut and painted the boards (and a few other things that will be posted later) with purple chalkboard paint. Our materials came from Home Depot…we peeled off the red rubber on the clips. Jamie took a thin string and tied it to two trees so he could clip the clips onto the string and spray paint all sides.
Jamie measured, for perfect placement, and drilled the clips into the boards. TaDa, Chalkboard clipboards for our sweet nieces to hang their art work on. We decided to go with chalkboard paint too so no matter what holiday or celebration they could re-use, re-purpose. (P.s. don’t mind us without our shirts off, it was a VERY HOT day here in MN!!)
