We’ve been working on a bathroom remodel project over the last couple months and have been slacking at sharing updates. I’m going to blame it on our kitchen reveal parties. Planning events is a lot of hard work, but so worth it!
We are excited to share this project with you guys. It’s been pretty seamless and, yet again, we scored the best clients in the world. They have been such a joy to work with. The entire family is so respectful to one another. It’s contagious! You can tell a lot about people by the way they talk to one another just during a consult, and we loved this family from day one.
This family found us off Google, which is rare. Usually, our clients come referral based or off our blog. We were so pumped because they are in our neck of the woods. We usually drive a good hour to commute to jobs. So it’s been a nice change to have a project just down the road from us.
These guys hired us to remodel their master bathroom and refresh their kitchen space a bit; adding new countertops, backsplash, sink and faucet. And you can check more of these projects out here and here.
For the bathroom, they wanted to go with a modern black and white feel. Our team is really into the black and white design style so they had our attention right away!
We met for an initial consult, got the budget approved and got to work right away. The client wanted a modern feel and wanted to add a free standing tub. They had an entrance from the bathroom into their closet, which is convenient, but to get the tub into the space we needed more room so had no option but to reconfigure and close off the entrance from the closet and add from into the bedroom.
Design Planning
We put together a spec sheet for some fun black and white tiles and the client was on board with it all. They even suggested adding a full back wall of black hexagon tile, not just in the shower. I think I screamed! And accenting the ceiling with black paint instead of the traditional white. It was such a fun collaboration working with this husband and wife, I hope they have more projects for us in the future.
So for now check out the before and almost after…
We have three weeks until the glass shower door gets installed and it’ll be a wrap. That’s always the worst. And what I like to emphasize to our readers if you’re undergoing a home improvement project, it all takes time no matter how hard you try. We couldn’t get the glass measured until all tile was in. And then once it’s in, they can measure and then it’s always 3-4 weeks out. But at least our clients can use their new cozy tub and vanity for now…
Before
Almost After
Next week glass goes in and we’ll be wrapped up. Can’t wait to share more of this project with you and we’ll get the selection list on the next post.
