The life of a celebrity is pretty luxurious. Perhaps nothing illustrates this more than the homes of the wealthy and famous. One of my favorite things about Instagram is that often we get a peek inside their homes and if we’re lucky enough they talk through pieces and design elements and why they chose what they did.
While it may not be realistic to design your next remodel exactly after your favorite celebrity homes — unless you have a few million dollars laying around — you can still gain some inspiration from these fabulous interiors.
So, without further delay, here are eight celebrity homes that we love to inspire your next remodel.
Julianne Hough & Brooks Laich

I saw this home on Instagram from following Julianne as she was sliding and singing on her ladder, how fun is that?! Maybe not just for practical reasons, but it sure could be both – practical and fun. I also absolutely love her cabinet color, which I found out was her mix of blue and green that took a while for them to perfect, but I think she nailed the color!

Well, of course, Ellen has a home that screams fun! When she had her design challenge show, I hadn’t fully realized how design savvy she was until we got a peek inside her home. I love the eclectic style going on especially the fun, bold pops of color art statement pieces.
It’s clear every detail was meticulously chosen in this kitchen. Belonging to Naomi Watts, this home in New York City is the epitome of modern design. The kitchen almost looks like it belongs on the set of a television show.
The wide variety of different materials and patterns comes together perfectly in this area of the home and is perhaps a good reminder that sometimes being bold is the best way to do a kitchen remodel.
Jennifer Anniston is a national treasure. Beloved by many and a successful actress, it’s no surprise that her home is breathtaking. One of the standout rooms of her home in Beverly Hills is the bedroom.
With big windows that show the epic views of the property, a unique, low bed frame, and a shag carpet — there may not be a lot of details in this room, but the ones that are there are perfect. The lesson here: less is more!
What’s not to love about this gorgeously designed living room in New York City, owned by Nicky Hilton. The pattern on the wall is simple but adds so much to the room. The furniture is varied, but still remains connected with the theme of the room. It might be a bit unrealistic to assume you can actually get Nicky Hilton to lounge in your living room, but at the very least you can replace her with yourself!
But seriously, can’t you envision yourself taking in a good book in this space. A great reminder that blue is a timeless color choice.
We’re not exactly sure what we thought Bruce Willis’ home would look like, and I think it’s safe to say we’re a little surprised. This open-spaced room in Beverly Hills with subtle wood accents is surprisingly tranquil for a man who usually plays grizzled characters in his films. If you’re looking to remodel your home, don’t neglect neutral colors and creating bright spaces that help to give off an open, refreshing environment.
Television personality and fashion designer Lauren Conrad has an eye for good design. Her bathroom certainly embodies this fact. This timeless bathroom, featuring fantastic black and white tiles, is the perfect spot for some R & R time. The attention to detail is once again a key differentiating point, and there is no reason why you can’t take some of your favorite elements from this scene for your bathroom remodel. From the bathtub to the sinks to the mirrors, we love everything about this bathroom.
Okay, so we love using wood in your home as much as the next person, but even this might be a bit much for a remodel. Instead, take just a few details from this kitchen, belonging to Joel Schumacher. There are plenty to choose from, so if you want to bring some warmth to your remodel, this is the perfect place to start!
