One of our family favorites! Jamie loves a good gyro, and for some reason, I haven’t been able to get behind them until now.
I made this Naan Sriracha Grilled Chicken Wraps last year when quite honestly, I was trying to use up all the food from our fridge and was just throwing things together. Jamie was pleasantly surprised, and then I spent the remainder of the summer perfecting this recipe for you all, plus actually measuring all the things out, which I rarely do. And now it’s a recipe we make throughout the summer and winter months too.
I hope you all enjoy this as much as our family has. And the best part is you can really throw in any vegetables you have, and it’ll probably just get better. I love a good recipe where you can improvise and use what you have.
Ingredients
Main Dish
- 2 chicken breasts
- 4 slices mini naan bread
- 14 oz crumbled goat cheese
- 10 mini Roma tomatoes
- 1 avocado
- 1/2 cucumber
- 1/2 zucchini
- 1 red onion
- 1/2 cup cilantro
Chicken & Veggie Marinade
- 1 TBSP olive oil
- 1 TBSP garlic salt
- 1 tsp salt-free lemon pepper
- 1 pinch salt and pepper to taste
Yogurt Sauce
- 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1 TBSP sriracha
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 pinch salt and pepper to taste
Simple Directions
To kick this recipe off, first, prepare the marinade and whisk together 1 TBSP olive oil, 1 TBSP garlic salt, 1 tsp salt-free lemon pepper, and either one fresh lime or 3 TBSP lime juice in a bowl.
Then chop up your chicken and toss the chicken with the above marinade in a bowl. For this recipe to serve four, I used two full chicken breasts.
While your chicken is marinating, chop up all of the vegetables. For this recipe, we did one avocado, 1/2 cucumber, 1/2 zucchini, one red onion, and a bunch of cilantro. I tried it a few times with bell peppers, and we enjoyed that as well.
You really can’t go wrong with any vegetables you want to incorporate.
Then heat the grill and get it up to 350 degrees. Once the grill is heated, throw the wok on your grill.
I always make sure I spray it down with Pam cooking spray to ensure the goods don’t get stuck. Toss the chicken on, and once cooked through, throw the vegetables in. And grill until the vegetables are cooked, about 8 minutes or so.
We love our Grill Wok and use it all the time, which we also did for this recipe here. We got it for under $15, and surprisingly, it’s stood the test of time.
I always like to squeeze a good lemon on top for some zest while grilling!
While everything is cooking up, prepare the sauce. Whisk together in a bowl: 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt, 1 TBSP sriracha, 1/4 tsp. garlic powder, one pinch salt, and pepper to taste.
While all the goods are grilling, throw on the naan to serve warm. Once warm, you are ready to serve and devour!
Top the naan with the vegetables, add the sauce, and sprinkle with goat cheese! Enjoy! My mouth is already watering just typing this blog post out and looking at these pictures.
This recipe is so simple and flavorful, and even our kids enjoy it. Hope you all love it as much as we do.
