We’ve been using a lot of wood looking floor tiles in our recent renovations and we can’t get enough. We love us some barn-wood so what better way to incorporate the look into the homes. Faux wood is a ceramic tile that looks just like wood. Wood look tile is a price point for your bathroom or kitchen, since most wood look tiles come in around $2 a sq/ft. Compare that to real hardwood or higher priced tiles around $10 a sq/ft, you can save a lot of money. With tile having the aesthetics of wood, but all being made from the same material, you’re also not paying more for white oak compared to mahogany.

Easy to Maintain
With hardwood flooring and some LVT, you have to be careful with water and making sure spills are cleaned up. The benefit of wood look tile is that you get the same look, but it’s much easier to maintain and clean. Hardwood floors need to be refinished after scratches and wear over the years. But, wood look tile puts up with daily wear and tear so much better. A simple mop and some warm soapy water are all you need to keep your tile looking as good as new.
