Yesterday we shared the full reveal of the owner’s suite in the Cohansey home, and today we’re back with their guest bathroom reveal!
This was previously the only bathroom on the main level, which was next to three bedrooms, so it was the main bathroom for the family and any guests. Our clients wanted a bit of privacy for both them and their kids, so we took one of the bedrooms and transferred it downstairs, gave mom and dad a little privacy making that previous bedroom into the owner’s suite, and gave their kids and guests a little privacy of their own too. And let’s just say that I would have LOVED to have this as my bathroom as a kid.
Before
The layout and functionality were working just fine in this space. It just needed a facelift, and this family is all about some creative vibes.
Designs
We were excited when our clients were all about the green tones for their own bathroom and their kids’ area. So we went all-in on it—green tile in the owner’s suite shower and green vanity in here. Not too much yet complemented both areas and brought the home together. They wanted to carry a statement tile into this area as well, so we brought it in, yet in a different way.
Under Construction
Although the layout stayed the same, there’s still a lot of construction work that went into this project to give it a total overhaul. New closet framing, drywall, waterproofing, ceilings, tub and tile, toilets, vanity, sink, faucet, mirror, lighting, and decor.
After
What do you think?! One of my favorite things is how we mixed metals throughout the finishings – black, gold, and we even did the black stainless, which we’re crushing on! The universal shower head is another favorite feature of ours in this space.
This patterned floor tile is a favorite of ours, and it paired perfectly with the subway tile surround—the perfect way to bring a little fun into space without it feeling overpowering it.
So what you all think? What’s your favorite element about this guest bathroom space?
