Who’s gotten their Christmas decor up and done?! Ours was up before Thanksgiving, but we also keep it pretty simple. Today, alongside our friends Clark & Aldine, Building Bluebird, and The Inspiring Investment we’re bringing you guys on a holiday home tour of each of our homes for your decor inspiration.
Each year we have just been sticking with a couple of Christmas trees and lots of greenery and metallics with pops of green and red that we sprinkle in. I like to keep it simple so that we can have it up from Thanksgiving into the New Year, can you tell this is my favorite time of year?!
This year was our first year as a family going to a tree farm and picking out our tree.
And I guess Christmas tree farms don’t open until after Thanksgiving but luckily they were so gracious to still let us go out and cut one down a little early open or not!
We put one up in our living room that is under construction and instead of buying a tree skirt wrapped the base in burlap that we have stored away. I always go back and forth on Christmas tree ornaments and ribbons every year, but year after year, I keep finding myself just keeping it simple with lights and greenery. The boys never ask so until the day they do, we’ll probably just keep it this way.
One of my favorite things to style each season is the floating shelves in our kitchen. My favorite thing about greenery is that most times you can find it outside in your very own yard. We put together a full tutorial on how to style your shelves for the holidays like we did here in 4 easy steps.
And of course our green room always needs a tree to keep me in the holiday spirit, yet again keeping it simple and with the greenery and lights and wrapping the base with burlap.
And every holiday, especially when you like to entertain like us throughout the season, needs a good bar cart! Again, we just kept it simple with some white and gray Christmas trees to spice things up.

Now head on over to our friends and check out their homes. They are a lot more festive than mine and have inspired me even more!
