We are so excited to introduce you to our girl Alyssa, from Lissadee. We’ve known Alyssa and her beautiful family for quite some time. I was introduced to Alyssa years ago by a mutual friend. Alyssa had just started working at Cambria and was wanting to network with some home improvement creatives. She also had her own brand, Lissadee, and wanted to connect and help us out with our visual branding. We clicked immediately.
Shortly after getting to know one another Alyssa and her husband, Tim, hired us to renovate their home. It was such a fun project and collaboration from start to end. A couple of years later they put that home up for sale and have since bought their dream home. Their realtor told them it flew off the market so quick because of the updates they hired us to do to their home. Other homes in that price range all had outdated kitchens and more. Their return on investment from their kitchen for resale was so cool to hear about, which she’ll chat about more in a later guest post.

So we couldn’t be more excited to have Alyssa over guest posting on our site and for you guys to get to know her journey. From chatting about the ROI, to taking you on the journey of their new home adventure and revamping each room in the house…we’re taking you guys along for the ride.

Hello c2s followers! I am so excited to be a guest blogger for this community and invite you to join me through our journey of transforming our new house into our modern family home. Throughout the journey, I’ll share before images, our plans, and the final result of transformations.
Before we jump into the project, here is a little background on who I am. I fell in love with home and design through my day job at Cambria, a quartz stone surfaces company where I lead a team with our company blog. In 2016, my husband and I tackled our first kitchen remodel with Construction2Style. I also run a photography and content business called Lissadee; where I have been Construction2Style’s photographer for all things content since 2015. I am honored to share our next home journey as a guest blog feature from a customer perspective.
After our kitchen remodel in our first home and discussing with our realtor, we knew our house was a prime candidate for the hot housing market. In our price range, there wasn’t another home on the market with a modern and updated kitchen. This allowed us to sell our first home within one day on the market. We were able to enjoy our kitchen remodel for a little over a year, but it was a good feeling leaving the home to a new family in a better place than what we found it.
We found our new home and had a few things on our list we knew we wanted. A master bathroom, bedrooms upstairs away from the kitchen and a basement (tornados!). We loved our three car garage and always looking for maximum potential in a space. Some projects will take an investment: kitchen, master bath, additional bedroom; but overall the home had great natural light and a few decor changes over time will go a long way.
