Let’s chat lighting! One of our favorite lighting vendors is, Bellacor. Local here in the Twin Cities, they sell to both designers and contractors with some awesome trade discounts as well as homeowners, and always have some good sales.
And we couldn’t have been more excited to partner with them on our Black Lake Place.
Today, we’re going to round up all of the selections if you’re on the hunt for some new light fixtures for your home. These are hands down, some of our new favorite lights, they are extremely affordable and a handful of them are even on sale right now. And best of all, they’re all in stock currently.
Let’s start with the outdoor fixtures.
For the front of the home, we wanted to go with something simple that complemented the deep gray exterior color and the wood-toned garage door and ended up with the Barn Light Black 14-Inch One-Light Outdoor Wall Lanterns. We also opted to put the same lighting by the sliding glass door that leads in from the lake to tie the front of the home to the back! We love how simple these are yet, make a statement. They’re also lightweight and very simple to install.
Entry Room Chandelier
The Nicollet Natural Brass 24-Light Chandelier is the perfect statement piece when walking into Black Lake Place. The staircase isn’t huge, so we wanted something that would make a statement without overpowering the space. We love how bold this is, yet it’s skinny and sleek and did the trick.
It gives off the modern chic vibe of the house right when you walk through the front door, right behind our DIY slat railing wall, which is exactly what we wanted.
For the owner’s bathroom, we wanted to use our favorite black & gold combo throughout the space, bringing in warm wood tones in the vanity. To bring in that added warmth effect, we went all gold with the mirror and light fixture.
The Nicollet Natural Brass Three-Light Bath Vanity with White Opal Glass is the light we ended up choosing for this space, and it’s now one of our new favorite lights from the Bellacor collection. We loved it so much, we’re bringing it into a bathroom at The Bradford after our client saw it at the reveal party.
Lower Level Bathroom
In the lower level bathroom, we had planned to go with the Cameron Warm Brass Two-Light Bath Vanity light. Due to the ceiling height needing to be lower than we had initially thought, we ended up with another Nicollet Natural Brass Three-Light Bath Vanity with White Opal Glass. We wanted to tie in the mirror that had gold brackets on it, and after seeing this light fixture installed in the owner’s bathroom, we knew it was going to be another statement in the lower level.
With the ceilings again ending up lower than expected, and us not wanting to obscure the lake view, we went with Lettie Aged Brass 15-Inch LED Flush Mount for the kitchen pendants over the island. This flush mount hangs a little bit lower than most, and we love how it meshed with the bold, Mercury Mosaics backsplash.
We got lots of comments at our reveal party on how much they loved our kitchen lights, something so unexpected. They were perfect for being able to create a statement yet not obstruct the view.
Bar Area Lighting
We had a ton of fun designing the bar area, and we are absolutely in love with the golden globe of the 251 First Artemis Natural Brass One-Light Wall Sconce.
We incorporated a new tile design from The Tile Shop in this space and wanted to stick with the globe-style light that we’d implemented in the bathrooms to give the home a cohesive feel. We loved how they were able to expand in and out as well. I also think these lights would be perfect for sconces above your side tables in your bedroom or even an office area. I have a feeling we’ll be specin’g a lot more of these sconces.
And there you have it! All of our statement lighting from Bellacor throughout Black Lake. What do you think?!
