West Bloomington | Kitchen Reveal with Elkay

Disclosure: This post was sponsored by Elkay. Although we were compensated to write this post, all opinions and content are our own, and we stand behind and use all brands and products we endorse on our site.

The kitchen is such an essential part of your home, and we are beyond grateful that time and time again people hire us to help create dream spaces in their homes where they can make a lifetime of memories. This project was extra special because we got to help create this couple’s beginning, their first home together as husband and wife. That’s pretty cool.

The kitchen is so much more than where you cook your food. It’s a place where, whether you like it or not, all people gather. No matter how small it is, all of your friends, family and guests are hanging in the kitchen.

So when we create kitchen spaces, as much as we can, we always push to bring in finishes that are true to our client’s taste and their lifestyle needs. A lot of times clients don’t even think about something as simple as the kitchen sink. We always use Elkay sinks in our projects because we know the quality and that they will stand the test of time.

What we love more than anything about Elkay is that they are a family owned and family focused brand, which means they think more about the family needs behind the production of their sinks.

When creating these sinks, they think about the moments and memories their consumers will make with their product. It can be anything from bathing their future babies, having the stain-proof for washing their three dogs toys, or creating first newlywed memories like washing the dishes together, cleaning up broken dishes from their first fight (haha), or having a fun food fight. The memories are endless that happen around and in your kitchen sink and it’s one of the often overlooked finishes. But that’s what we’re here for to get to know and guide our clients to the best products for their remodels.

We shared the before, the plans, and under construction behind this project with you and now it’s time to share the full reveal. If you didn’t catch our before post for this project, here are a few pictures to check out…

And the after…

Ok, just have to brag a little bit about my hubby. Time and time again when he does this to homes (and yes, he gets all the credit) it literally blows me away. The detail in his craftsmanship is incredible. From the cabinets to laying the flooring to installing the backsplash, this was all Jamie. No subcontractors. Just some help from his main man on our team, Topher.

And I know, I say those things, because he is my husband. Even these clients and their parents told us time and time again about how happy they were from the selections to the craftsmanship to the final bill. We put a lot of hard work into our projects and sometimes it can be a little stressful so when clients say those few simple words to us… well, don’t be surprised if I start crying and hug you. Jamie will probably just smirk, nod and look at you. But it means WAY more to him than you’ll ever know.

For the kitchen sink we recommended that our clients go with the Elkay Quartz Luxe in charcoal, one bowl, under-mount sink and they were immediately on board.

We also recommended the Elkay Everyday Kitchen Faucet with a pull-down spray, and they went with that as well.

Our favorite thing about the Elkay Quartz Luxe sinks is that they have a smooth surface and a visible depth to their structure. They also have round corners to ensure no junk gets stuck. Their luxe sinks also offer durability to take on tough kitchen tasks. I can’t stress and talk about this enough to our clients. Before Elkay, we had a few sinks in our investment properties and within hours it’d be full of hair from our paint brushes to God knows what. It was SO gross. And with the Elkay sinks, they have these rounded edges and that nasty stuff does not happen. I mean, just look at it…

It was such a joy creating this space and working with these clients. Not one issue and they’ve even already asked us to come back and remodel their master bathroom. We can’t wait to share with you guys what we do to that space!

And we know you guys are wondering about all the other details behind this project. We’ll break it down and share it all with you later but in a nutshell here you go…
