I don’t know much about your vacation destinations or travel patterns. I’m confident though, wherever your adventure takes you, a fabulous mango margarita will complement any time zone.
Do you like to stay in the country and not get too surprised by the foreignness of foods, languages, styles and architecture? Or do you crave the newness and unexpectedness of things and have a passport?
When I decide where to go next, I always choose a different climate first. I tend to look for unfamiliar foods and try various types of meat, fruits, drinks, and vegetables that I don’t usually have at home.
My favorite part about warm climates is their tropical fruit, and all that derives from them. Those farmers’ markets are simply the best!
Well, that is precisely why I want to share my favorite Mango Margarita recipe with y’all! I love mangos and they remind me of my trips to South East Asia, East Africa, California and of course, Florida!
When it comes to mango margarita, I bet we all had that frozen, sugary kind that leaves you jittery. Especially on one of those all-inclusive vacations in Mexico, when you were reading some addictive novel or a good old mystery by the pool while sipping on this vibrant yellow cocktail.
Did you just get a deja vu? Margarita will always be that perfect warm weather drink!
It’s bright yellow, refreshing, and sometimes with a kick, and can definitely cool you off on a hot summer day! The best part about any margarita is that they are so easy to make and when served in a proper goblet with a stem they look appealing and presentable!

- 2 ounces of your favorite silver tequila
- 1/2 ounce of agave nectar
- 1/2 ounce of triple sec
- 3 tablespoons of chopped fresh mango (frozen mango will work as well)
- 3/4 ounce lime juice
Instructions
Toss 2 ounces of your favorite silver tequila, 1/2 ounce of agave nectar, 1/2 ounce of triple sec, 3 tablespoons of chopped fresh mango (frozen mango will work as well), 3/4 ounce lime juice into the blender, puree until smooth, and voila! Or take these five ingredients and serve over ice. Enjoy!
If you want to make it spicy, add 2 slices of a jalapeno! Brighten up your Mango Margarita with a hint of fresh mint and of course rim your glass with salt!
Some Mango Margarita recipes will tell you to use mango juice or canned mango and add sugar, but I tend to shy away from that. I have discovered that in order to create that thick texture of a drink you need to use frozen mangos!
Once you walk this route, you will never use another recipe ever again!
It will always taste smooth, bright, and it has just the right amount of sweet. We love it, and I think you will too.
