Who’s ready to talk about plumbing fixtures? We’re excited to share with you today some innovative products from Delta that we’ll incorporate into our investment property!
And we’re even more excited to announce that our Black Lake Place is involved in an exclusive contest amongst five other very talented national designers with the #DesignWithBrizoDeltaChicago campaign!
This means that we are up against five other designers to create an innovative space and our kitchen at The Black Lake Place is our space! Come spring of 2021; once all construction is complete, the winner will be selected to have their projects in Brizo and Delta Chicago ad campaigns.
Which is HUGE for marketing exposure! And what an honor that would be. Regardless if we win or not, we are extremely honored and grateful to have been chosen even to make it to the five finalists and be a part of this collaboration.
So make sure to follow this hashtag on social media #DesignWithBrizoDeltaChicago and see how all of the fun projects unfold and come to life! And to see who we’re up against.
Kitchen | Delta® Broderick
So let’s talk plumbing finishing selections. First up, the kitchen.
If you missed our first blog post walking through the home, here’s a glimpse of what the kitchen once was.
And what it’s looking like now…
And the vibe of where we want to go…
Lots of earthy tones, natural wood, greens and blues, and gold finishes for the kitchen.
We have been busy designing out this home, and over the last few weeks, we’ve been working with Brizo and Delta Chicago team to get our selections sourced.
Have you had the opportunity to see their space in the merchandising mart in Chicago? It’s unreal! Since we’re not traveling right now, we still got to feel like we were right there in their showroom because of some great technology.
They sent over an interactive showroom, and we were able to walk through their inspiring and interactive showroom. It was really cool!
The showroom space is designed to help clients and consumers open their minds, browsing Brizo & Delta’s Chicago vast range of styles, discovering innovative technologies, and viewing an elegant array of fixtures fit for an array of projects and aesthetics.
We were able to work quickly and closely with their team to narrow down exactly what we wanted to do throughout the home. We started in the kitchen, and the one thing I knew I wanted was a gold faucet and having good knowledge of all of the Delta lines, I knew Broderick was one of my favorites.
My favorite thing about the Broderick Faucet is Touch2O® Technology, which means that it will start and stop water flow with a simple touch anywhere on the spout or handle. We chatted all about why we love the Delta touch faucet in a previous blog post here.
But look how beautiful that is?! All in champagne bronze finish.
The glass rinser is also a new product that we are loving and using in our own home. It’s been game-changing, especially with Ellie in tow and washing her bottles non stop. From baby bottles to wine glasses to travel cups, it conveniently rinses virtually any drinkware, so you can spend less time soaking and scrubbing.
Its sleek, low-profile design coordinates with any faucet, and it can be easily installed in an empty countertop hole, such as those used for soap dispensers and sink sprayers. Introduce the power of convenience to your kitchen with the Delta Glass Rinser.
Owner’s Suite | Stryke
The guest bathroom and also the owner’s suite is one bathroom that has entrances into the bedroom and hallway. Our goal with this bathroom is to divide it and make it into two separate bathrooms, one for the master bedroom ensuite and one for the guest bathroom.
And here’s a little preview of what the owner’s bath once was…
If you look straight ahead towards the back where the shower is, that will become the owner’s ensuite. And right here, where the vanity is, will become the main level guest bathroom. Where the closet is, we’ll divide it there and making a separation wall.
The shower will remain in its original location but doing a full gut and remodel.
… which we’ve already taken care of demoing the place completely out.
This view is looking at was originally two closets in the owner’s bedroom, but we’ll use both of these spaces for the owner’s ensuite bathroom and closet, and also the guest bathroom to add a tub and shower.
And we got started on framing everything up this week!
For each of the spaces within the home, our goal is to do something different. To showcase a different collection and share the awesome features that Delta brings to every space for our clients and readers here at c2s.
We went with the Styrke collection for the owner’s suite, one of my new favorite collections! We also went with a matte black finish.
I love the faucet hardware; with subtly upturned spout and handles, the Stryke™ Bath Collection radiates confidence and composure with an assured stature and ascending contours.
The H2Okinetic® In2ition® 5-Setting Two-In-One Showerhead is pretty cool too! This is new to the market and features a detachable hand shower, which can be used separately from or simultaneously with the showerhead.
Main Level, Guest Bathroom | Trillian
For the guest bathroom, we went with the new stainless steel finish. We actually recently incorporated this finish into a client’s bathroom remodel, and we loved the look!
The Trillian™ Bath Collection is an evolution of modern style that creates an edgy look that catches the light and the eye. With separate handles for volume and temperature control, this Delta tub/shower provides a more refined showering experience. Simply set the water at your preferred temperature and turn the shower on or off with the volume control handle – without interrupting your set temperature.
Lower Level Guest Bathroom | Zura
And lastly, the lower level guest bathroom. Structurally we’re not doing much to this space, but it will get a full gut and remodel, and for the finishing plumbing fixtures in this space, we went with the Zura collection!
The Single Handle Vessel Bathroom Faucet With Touch2O.Xt® Technology is my favorite! We’re all about the touch faucets and can’t wait to try it out in a bathroom now too.
The Zura™ design is a precise marriage of rounded, rectangular, and triangular elements and offers innovative, geometric styling to complement Delta’s current contemporary lineup. Touch it on. Touch it off.
Or go completely hands-free with Delta® Touch2O.xt® Technology helps keep your bathroom clean by giving you three ways to operate your faucet: manually with the handle, with a simple touch anywhere on the spout or handle, or by placing your hands near the faucet.
So what do you guys think?! Which collection is your favorite? Next up is getting the rough-ins done. The product is en route, and we’ll be sharing it all on Instagram with you soon.
